To be completely honest I didn’t mean to write this prayer map, it just happened. In 2017, I shared my personal journal with social media and received an overwhelming response. It was then I learned that more people needed a “map”; they needed to know that they could cling to the word of God. I had an aha moment and realized that I could turn my own personal journal into a journaling devotional for other women and girls.
What is a scripture map?
A scripture map is a prayer strategy – a guide to praying God’s word over your life.
It is my hope and prayer that young girls and young women use this book to get back to the truth – not what Facebook says, not the likes of Instagram, and not the validations of friends. The real truth is the Bible affirms you and tells you who you are in Christ Jesus. The Bible illustrates in great detail what belongs to you as a joint heir to the kingdom of God. The Bible in its many translations conveys all that God has promised to his daughters. Most importantly, the bible shows us how to fight – not against others but how to fight against the darkness in the world.
As you dive into this devotion, I pray that the promises of God, this truth becomes your response for every area of your life. I pray scripture becomes glued to your heart and memory, so that you always respond like Jesus, “It is written.”
